The Memorial Bridge between Portsmouth and Kittery (US Route 1) is temporarily closed to motorized traffic, though it is open for pedestrians and cyclists. Rather than exiting US 95 at exit 7 in Portsmouth, continue on 95 into Maine, and get off at the second exit (Exit 2, Kittery traffic circle, US Route 1 and Maine Route 236 to Eliot, Maine). Take the first exit off the traffic circle, passing the gas station/convenience store to your right; this will put you on US Route 1 South. Continue south through the two traffic lights and, about 0.1 mi beyond the second light, before crossing the bridge to Badger's Island, veer to the right at the traffic divider, staying on Newmarch Street, which ends at Water Street. The Inn is on the corner of Newmarch and Water Streets; the Inn sign is on the Newmarch Street side of the building. Turn right at Water Street, drive along the Water Street side of the building, and turn into the parking lot.
